Sarah Maza, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Maza completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University. She received additional clinical training at NYU Child Study Center, Long Island Jewish Hospital, and Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to starting her private practice, Dr. Maza worked across hospital, clinic and private practice settings in the New York area. She has trained doctoral and post-doctoral students in academic medical settings, and she provides training to other disciplines in her areas of expertise. Dr. Maza has worked on numerous multi-disciplinary teams and values collaborating with other providers, schools, and treatment members to provide the best possible care for her patients.

In her work with individuals across the lifespan, Dr. Maza utilizes evidence-based practices to create individually tailored treatments for her patients. She treats a broad range of clinical presentations including anxiety and mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders in children, and eating disorders. Dr. Maza specializes in parent-based interventions to treat a range of childhood disorders and challenges. She also has specialized experience treating the young adult and college-age population. 

Dr. Maza’s approach is to work closely with patients and families to set reachable goals and concrete steps towards those goals. She is committed to ensuring that treatment is working for her patients, and that progress can be felt. She provides a warm and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable working toward their personal goals.
